MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – Police provided security at Monday's funeral for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was killed in a shooting in New York City last week.
More than a dozen state troopers and about 100 vehicles, including 20 black SUVs, were seen outside Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minn., where services began in the early afternoon. Drones were flying overhead, and snipers with large guns could be seen stationed on the roof of the church.
Despite tight security, the funeral was held intimately and no outsiders were allowed to attend. Officials said a security code was required to enter.

Luigi Nicolas Mangione, 26, was taken into custody Monday at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after a five-day nationwide manhunt for Thompson's killer.
The Ivy League graduate was arrested after McDonald's customers and employees spotted him and thought he matched the suspect on a wanted poster.

Mr. Mangione was indicted. Charges for Thompson's murder include second-degree murder, second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, according to a New York state felony arrest warrant.
