Actor Rob Schneider said Monday that he is launching a show to compete with “The View.”
“We will do [an] “An all-female talk show wouldn't be like 'The View,'” Schneider told anchor Trace Gallagher on “Fox News @ Night.” Clips highlighted by Medaite.
Schneider said that compared to ABC's “The View,” his show will be “the exact opposite because it's going to be funny” and will feature “funny women.”
“They'll tell jokes, they'll tell funny stories, they'll talk about health,” Schneider said.
“The View” features comedian Whoopi Goldberg, former Trump administration official turned Trump critic Alyssa Farrah Griffin, Republican strategist Ana Navarro and others speaking out against President-elect Trump. Several co-hosts appear who have expressed negative opinions.
“It's going to be a fun show, and it's not going to be a show that drowns people in politics,” Schneider said during an appearance on Fox News on Monday. “It's not about shaming people or making people cringe.”
Schneider previously said he voted for President-elect Trump in the 2016 election and also expressed support for independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s bid for the White House in 2024. Kennedy is currently nominated by President Trump to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Following President Trump's May conviction in a New York hush money case, Schneider wrote on social media platform He was found guilty.”
He added: “When the Republicans take back power, they will have to retaliate against the Democrats.”
