A recent poll of registered New York voters conducted by Siena College Research Institute found a clear majority support President-elect Donald Trump's plan to deport illegal immigrants.

Hochul even changed his tune, suddenly claiming that he supported deporting immigrants convicted of crimes in the United States.
Despite Hochul's lip service, state Democrats recently introduced a bill that would make it more difficult for New York police officials to work with ICE officials to deport criminal aliens, threatening to weaken sanctuary laws. We moved in the direction of strengthening the system.
The Siena poll, conducted Dec. 2-5 among 843 registered New York voters, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.
