New Jersey governor hopeful cops to fake Spotify Wrapped list high lighting Bruce Springsteen

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D.N.J.) confirmed that last week's Spotify-wrapped post had indeed been changed.

The four-term lawmaker, who hopes to lead the state as governor next year, said the screenshots of his top five favorite songs of the year, all by Bruce Springsteen, are mockups of what should be accurate summaries.

“If I hadn't shared my account with my 12- and 15-year-old kids, this would have been my Spotify wrap,” Gottheimer said in a statement. NJ Advance Media.

“It's Springsteen all day long for me, but don't get me wrong, I still love listening to Taylor Swift!”

He found the fake post after the incident new jersey monitornewsletter questioned its authenticity.

The candidates posted a summary of their factual statements on Wednesday.

The gubernatorial candidate has cited his musical love for “The Boss” as a unifying factor throughout his campaign, intentionally featuring references to the artist in his campaigns. Campaign website.

It's a trend that current Gov. Phil Murphy (Democrat) and former Gov. Chris Christie (Republican) have proven to have in common.

Murphy declared September 23rd “Bruce Springsteen Day” earlier this year.
