President-elect Donald Trump visited the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning and rang the bell to begin trading.
His visit to the New York Stock Exchange came on the same day that Time magazine named him its 2024 Person of the Year. He was previously named Person of the Year in 2016.

Before ringing the bell, Trump signed the exchange's “List of Achievement” “in honor of being named Time Magazine's 2024 Person of the Year,” according to a New York Stock Exchange post. It is said that he added

The New York Stock Exchange said in a separate post that its trading floor was “packed” for the occasion.
Video showed the president-elect pumping his fist after the opening bell rang.
