Talk about an eye-sore sight.
An Oregon city is begging local residents to stop taping googly eyes onto roadside sculptures because the funny gag costs too much money.
Bend city officials noticed oversized optics taped to metal artwork featuring deer and geometric patterns on roundabouts throughout the area.
“It may be funny to see googly eyes on various pieces of art around town, but it costs money to remove them while being careful not to damage them,'' the city posted. to your Instagram account last week.
There was glue in the eye, which cost more than $1,500 to remove. Reported on Oregon Live.

“COR-TEN steel can lose patches of adhesive rust and requires chemical treatment to rust evenly,” Bend spokeswoman Rene Mitchell told the magazine.
“Stainless steel requires strong solvents to remove adhesive residue,” she added.
Now, the Bend government is resorting to negotiations with the people.
The Instagram post added, “We don't condone wreaths, leis, and Santa hats, but please avoid anything that could damage the art, such as glue or graffiti.”
But people said,
One person commented: “Looks like most people want googly eyes.” “Isn't this public art? Give the people what they want.”
Meanwhile, others are optimistic that the city's post will open more eyes to the unexpected addition.
“I hope this post gets more googly eyes!!!!!!”
