Man Stalked, Beat, and Raped 26-Year-Old Woman in NYC

An unknown man is accused of brutally assaulting and raping a 26-year-old woman after tailing her in New York City early Wednesday morning, according to law enforcement.

The woman was walking in the Bronx on Virginia Avenue near Wood Avenue in Parkchester at 3:30 a.m. when a man, later identified as 21-year-old Gregory Williams, began following her. new york post reportedHe quoted the authorities as saying.

Police said Williams allegedly caught up with the woman, ambushed her, punched her several times on the right side of her body, and then raped her. Police said Williams, a Bronx resident, fled the scene of the attack but was found Wednesday around 12:45 p.m.

The woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, authorities said.

According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Williams has been charged with first-degree rape, third-degree assault, third-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree harassment.

“Wednesday night, Ms. Williams, wearing a black hoodie and red and black pajama pants, remained silent as detectives escorted her out of the NYPD building,” the report said.
