Apple CEO Tim Cook Joins the Parade of Tech Titans Visiting Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago

Apple CEO Tim Cook has joined the growing list of tech CEOs making the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to pay their respects to President-elect Donald Trump.

As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to return to the Oval Office, a growing number of tech industry leaders are heading to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, apparently as part of the incoming administration. It seems like he's trying to please someone. The latest high-profile executive to join the trend is Apple CEO Tim Cook, who dined with President Trump on Friday at a resort, their first face-to-face interaction since their phone conversation two months ago.

In mid-October, President Trump appeared on Patrick Bett-David's podcast and revealed that President Cook called him to discuss the $15 billion fine imposed on Apple by the European Union. Trump's transition team and Apple have not commented on the details of the recent meeting.

Cook's visit to Mar-a-Lago comes on the heels of other tech giants coming forward to support President Trump on his inauguration. OpenAI's Sam Altman has personally pledged to donate $1 million to the founding fund, while Amazon, founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos, plans to use the Jan. 20 ceremony as its prime fund.・We plan to donate $1 million in cash and an additional $1 million in kind through streaming via video services. . President Trump also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Bezos, who he has criticized in the past.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who also recently visited Mar-a-Lago, has already donated $1 million to President Trump's inaugural fund. The move, along with contributions from other technology companies, signals a shift in the industry's approach to engaging with the incoming administration.

Following Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in last month's election, Cook joined other technology leaders in congratulating the president-elect. “I look forward to working with you and your administration to ensure America continues to lead and promote ingenuity, innovation, and creativity,” Cook said in a post on social platform X.

As President Trump's inauguration approaches, attention will be focused on the evolving dynamics between the technology industry and the new administration. The coming months will reveal the extent to which these relationships will shape the future of U.S. technology policy and regulation.
