The 27-year-old suffered his first ankle injury in Week 2 against the Ravens and missed just one game after that.

Crosby's ankle worsened again in Week 14 against the Buccaneers and ultimately required surgery.

“No matter the situation, I'm going to stand in the fire because this game is my life,” Crosby said. “If I get a heartbeat, I'm going to play for the fans who watch me perform every Sunday, put on the jersey, and spend their hard-earned money.

Prior to his season-ending injury, the 2019 draft pick anchored Las Vegas' defense and led the Raiders in sacks.

ESPN reports that Crosby is scheduled to meet with Dr. Rob Anderson on Monday to undergo arthroscopic surgery.

After surgery, a decision will be made as to whether a second surgery is necessary, depending on the extent of the damage to Crosby's ankle.
