With a nervous-looking Taylor Swift looking on, Brock Purdy was just a play or two away from helping the San Francisco 49ers beat the Kansas City Chiefs and win the Super Bowl.
Swift, who is dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce, appeared at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday and was asked if the song “Paper Rings” was about Purdy.

“I don't care about Brock Purdy. He put me through a lot last February. It was very stressful for a moment,” Swift said. I said while signing Sign for children.
Purdy completed 23 of 38 for 255 passing yards and one touchdown pass. A touchdown pass to Jauan Jennings in the fourth quarter gave the 49ers a three-point lead with 11:22 left in the game.
Both teams traded field goals to force overtime, with San Francisco leading by three points early in overtime. But it was Patrick Mahomes who had the last laugh, his 3-yard pass to Mecole Hardman giving Kansas City the victory.

Swift and Kelsey celebrated by kissing several times on the field.
Swift's song “Paper Rings” was included on her album “Lover” released in 2019.
Naturally, Purdy was still at Iowa State University when “Lover” was released to the public. He took over as the 49ers' starting quarterback during the 2022 season and won his first 10 regular season starts.

Purdy has struggled with injuries this season. He has 3,174 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in 13 games.
