Travis Hunter said he got drunk and cried himself to sleep Saturday night after his fiancee, Leanna Rennie, received criticism after winning the Heisman Trophy.
In a video posted online, Colorado two-way star Hunter takes issue with Lenny's demeanor, sitting on a couch and looking stoic while posing for photos during a handshake with fans at his event. Some people did.
At one point, the couple appeared to have a serious conversation, but it is unclear what was said.
After the Heisman ceremony, Hunter had a harsh message for his critics, explaining that Renee was hurt.
Hunter, a wide receiver and cornerback for the Buffaloes, said on a Twitch livestream, “It's not like I didn't have girls, so why is everyone talking about me?” “Find someone else to talk to…tell me about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what happened to me. I know what happened.

Hunter went on to explain that in a video that went viral online (where fans claimed Renee looked miserable), he and Renee were talking about family and coordinating where they were going to go that night. .
“You all hate me, and now you hate my girlfriend,” he said. “I feel the same way she does. We are inseparable. We have each other. If she's hurting, I'm hurting too. Hunter, the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, encouraged people to send positive messages to Renee.

Hunter and Linney announced their engagement in February after going public with their relationship in 2022.
He thanked his fiancée in his Heisman Trophy speech.

In early December, another video showed Renee angry with Hunter after Colorado's stellar performance in a 52-0 win over Oklahoma State in the regular-season finale.
Linney addressed the incident on her Instagram, explaining that the moment was taken out of context.

On Saturday, Hunter beat Boise State running back Ashton Giunty, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel to win college football's highest honor.
Hunter finished the regular season with 92 receptions, 1,152 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
Hunter is expected to play against BYU in the Alamo Bowl before being selected as a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
