Questions remain surrounding drone sightings in the Northeast and other parts of the country, but the federal government has failed to provide meaningful answers. The Pentagon last week denied that the drones were controlled by a foreign entity, but also said they were not controlled by the U.S. military. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also did not provide further details, only saying in a joint statement that based on current evidence, drones do not pose a threat to national security.
Rep. Beth Van Dine said this is causing quite a stir in the swamp.
“I mean, they absolutely are.” [talking about it]” she said. “Because I think it showed, as a matter of fact, how far behind we are in technology. And you know, when you look at what's happening in Ukraine and how they're doing it. [drones] “It's just being used to destroy really critical infrastructure in Russia, and when you start seeing that in Houston, the Houston area, you start thinking about how much critical infrastructure is underground,” she continued. . It's our pipelines, our refineries, our ports, and how much destruction they can cause to our country if they get out of control. …You know, the Biden administration is not really forward-looking. ”
