“This has certainly been an unexpected six weeks for my family and I. The outpouring of support we have received during this period has been truly overwhelming as we work together on my recovery. We would like to share what happened in any way possible,” the statement reads. “I wish I could respond to each and every one of you, but right now let me say that my family and I are forever grateful. We are grateful to our wonderful community, the entire Spurs organization, and our family and friends. .”

“No one is more excited to see me return to the bench than the talented people who guided me through my rehabilitation process. They quickly realized that I was unfit to coach.”
