A local television news station in Arizona is mourning the death of its 28-year-old anchor.
Anna Orsini, the morning host of KOLD News 13, a CBS affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, recently passed away, according to colleagues at the station.
The cause of death has not been disclosed.
“Last week, we lost a beloved member of the KOLD News team. Anna Orsini, our anchor, morning team leader, and most importantly, many people at the station. He was a great friend to me,” co-anchor Corey Kowitz said. wrote on social media.
“It was a pleasure working with her this morning,” Kowitz wrote, adding, “Rest in peace Anna.”
KOLD News 13 anchor Tyler Butler also paid tribute to Orsini.
“We had the opportunity to work with her every day, and the person we saw her on the air, the funny, crazy person she was, was exactly the same off camera, and even more.” I would like you to know that.” he wrote on his Facebook account.
Orsini's co-anchor Carsyn Currier mourned her, saying, “Beyond beautiful, talented, and hilarious, she was unlike anyone I've ever met.”
“To know Anna was to love her,'' said Currier. she wrote on her Instagram account.
“She made everyone around her feel special, heard and understood. Getting up in the middle of the night to go to work is always a challenge, but working with Anna… Knowing that made it a lot easier.”
The newspaper has contacted Orsini's family for comment.
Orsini joined KOLD News 13 last June. She began her career in Lubbock, Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2018.
The Denver, Colorado native also worked at KDRV NewsWatch 12 in Medford, Oregon, before arriving in Tucson.
