Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her 3 children seeks insanity defense

A Massachusetts labor and delivery nurse who allegedly strangled three young children to death last year and then attempted to take her own life is seeking an insanity defense, according to court documents.

Plymouth District Court has unsealed 299 pages of records revealing 11 search warrants issued in January 2023 and kept confidential.

She also used Apple Maps on her phone to “determine how long it would take to travel from her home in Duxbury to Three V in Plymouth,” according to court documents.

Clancy also texted her husband asking if she could pick up takeout from a restaurant and medication from CVS.
