On Thursday night, Knicks and Timberwolves fans enjoyed a little soccer with basketball.
During the second quarter of the Knicks' 133-107 victory at Target Center, two fans rushed onto the court and were tackled by security.
A security guard tackled one of the two fans and slammed him to the floor in front of Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns returned to the Twin Cities, scoring a game-high 32 points and starting an individual offense.
It all happened in a flash with the Knicks leading comfortably 69-45 with 2:34 left in the second quarter.
Fans emerged from the third row wearing shorts, sleeveless tops (a bold move for December in Minnesota) and headbands and ran toward the court.
The following fans were wearing blue shorts, but they didn't get far as one of the officials made a right tackle on the sideline.
As she lay on the ground, a security guard grabbed her leg, and then Towns towered over her, leaving her lying on her back.
Another fan, dressed in orange, ran toward the center of the court, waving his hands in the air in celebration.
However, her journey did not last long and ended in an embarrassing manner when a guard punched her from behind and pushed her to the ground.
Two other security guards rushed to the scene and were eventually joined by another two, who literally grabbed her by the arms and legs and carried her off the court.
It is currently unclear why the fans rushed onto the court.
Maybe they were embarrassed by the Timberwolves' pathetic play. The home team lost 41-18 in the second quarter and the game was almost stopped.
Such fan incidents have occurred at Target Center before, with three Timberwolves playoff games in 2022 ruined by fans rushing onto the court.
One fan even stuck his hand on his coat.
The cause of these collisions is Alleged animal abuse Against Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor.
