AJ Divantha is having a great month. The nation's No. 1 recruit committed to BYU men's basketball for what is rumored to be the highest NIL payout in history. Once on campus, Divanza will compete with Cameron Boozer and Darrin Peterson for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, but first he will finish his final year of high school at Utah Prep.
On Thursday night, when Utah Prep played Iolani in the holiday tournament, Divanza did something he probably had never done in a game before. you may remember High school student LeBron James successfully performs a between-the-legs dunk in a game.. Well, Thursday night, when Divanza got on the fastbreak, he went through both legs with a hell of a slam.
It's wild to see these types of dunks in a dunk contest, let alone in a game. Watch here:
Here's the dunk from the normal game angle:
The level of athleticism, coordination, and confidence to pull this off during a game is just incredible. It's not hard to see why NBA scouts are so excited about Divanza eventually joining the league.
this is Basically Aaron Gordon's mascot dunks in the game.. Can you award dunk of the year to a high school student? Because this might really qualify.
