Since calling attention to the alleged fraud, she has made several videos explaining exactly what happened and how she became embroiled in the identity theft allegations.

Where did the recurring payments come from?

In this particular video, which has racked up 642,000 views, she revealed that the fraudulent payments came out as recurring payments under the name DBX Digital, but it is possible that it came out as Happily Company. It was also reported that there is a sex.

“Apparently, the company was selling a date night box. I remember buying it about eight years ago, but that was the last time I paid for them. ” she said.

She continued, “But what's even crazier is that if you Google DBX Digital, all that comes up is people talking about these fraudulent charges. But if you Google Happily Co. The Night Box website pops up, but when I click on it, it shuts down completely.

She then went on to explain how she was drawn to Reddit and how through it she realized she wasn't the only one with this problem. Many others said they had a suspicious $7.99 debit from DBX Digital. It was through Reddit that she found a solution: “Treat it like a fraudulent charge,” she says. This includes steps such as contacting your bank and freezing your card. Nevertheless, she described the situation as “very frustrating and very strange.”

What did viewers think?

In the comments section, some people claimed that Amazon was actually involved. “This is what Amazon showed when it charged my card after the free trial,” one person claimed. On the other hand, another person advised, “Please check your subscription on Amazon.”

A third person added: “Amazon recently charged my debit card for $14.99. I don't use debit cards online, I only use my credit card. When I said no, my card was locked.

@samtiktoksthings How many people are dealing with DBX Digital credit card charges now (and there are so many other scams 😭) Dispute the charges and lock your cards, friends!! 🫠🫶🏼 #Credit card #credit card #Scam alert #data security ♬ Original song – sam✨

The Daily Dot has reached out to Amazon for comment.

Another commenter suggested that this might not necessarily be an issue with Amazon, but with subscription services more generally. “I work at a credit union and we get calls like this and we end up with a terrible application,” they said. “I can't remember if it was Peacock or Paramount Plus or Disney Plus, but it was something like that.”

But most of the commenters were distracted by the fact that Sam probably even had a bank card from eight years ago. “How do you still have an eight-year-old ATM card?'' one person asked. “Isn't a new card issued every four years or so?”

“Were you able to charge your card from 8 years ago?” Another added. “I didn't think it would last this long.”

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “There's something wrong with this story.”

Sam did not immediately respond to the Daily Dot's request for comment via TikTok Comments. The Daily Dot was unable to find contact information for DBX or Happily Co.
