President-elect Donald Trump has named Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) chief of staff to lead the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of Law and Policy.
in post President Trump revealed on Truth Social that Aaron Reitz, who previously worked as a “deputy to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton,” will be working with Pam Bondi. Bondi was previously nominated by President Trump to be attorney general after former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) withdrew his nomination.
President Trump described Wrights as a “true MAGA lawyer” and a “warrior” of the U.S. Constitution.
“I am pleased to nominate Aaron Reitz as the next Director of the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Policy (OLP),” President Trump said in a post. “Aaron will lead OLP to advance my law and order agenda and develop and execute the Department of Justice’s battle plan to restore the health of our justice system. I will be working with Mr. Bondi.”
President Trump continued, “Aaron is currently Sen. Ted Cruz's chief of staff and previously served as Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's deputy, leading dozens of lawsuits against the lawless and crooked Biden administration.'' It was a success,” he said.
Cruz responded to Trump's remarks, calling it “incredible news” for Rights.
