Aussie businessman Anthony Pratt donates $15M to Trump’s super PAC

Australian businessman Anthony Pratt has donated more than $15 million to support President-elect Donald Trump, making him one of the president-elect's top five donors.

A huge donation from the executive chairman of 100% recycled paper and packaging company Pratt Industries puts him in an elite group of big-money donors like Elon Musk, Timothy Mellon, Miriam Adelson and Linda McMahon. Ta.

“As I've said many times before, President Trump has been a great president and will continue to be a great president,” Pratt said.

“I am proud to support him not only by making this donation, but also by investing billions of dollars in high-paying American manufacturing jobs during his first term as President-elect. “I will do that sometimes,” he vowed.

The bulk of Mr. Pratt's donation ($14 million) will go to the Make America Great Again super PAC, with the remaining $1.1 million going to President Trump's inaugural fund.

Mr Pratt, 64, has built 70 factories in the US and created around 12,000 manufacturing jobs, making him the largest employer of Americans in Australia.

Pratt, who has been a frequent visitor to the United States since the 1980s, applied for permanent resident status late last year and was recently granted it.

“I decided it was time to live in America because my entire family is American citizens and I wanted to spend more time growing my business here,” he said.
