Assessing the Giants' 34-7 loss to the Falcons on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta:
offense
Are there other quarterbacks that can run through that? We have seen enough unfortunate situations like this.
Drew Lock (22-of-39, 210 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT) is waiting for a turnover with two more pick-six interceptions and a lost fumble.
The line could cost the Falcons a run for their money, as Lock was on the run and was sacked three times.
Malik Nabors (7, 62 yards) has to stop with these illegal shift penalties. He set the team's season rookie record for receptions, so that's amazing, right?
Rookie Tyrone Tracy did a great job of starting the second quarter by making a leaping grab in the back of the end zone for a TD.
RT Evan Neal had three false start penalties, and he and Greg Van Roten were run over to the right side of the line on their second pick-six, resulting in a deflected pass.
C John Michael Schmitz was given a late holding penalty. Tracy's TD run was called back on a holding penalty by Wan Dale Robinson in the final minutes of the game. He had only 234 total yards and 14 first downs. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

defense
The unit struggled early, but was depleted and unable to reach rookie QB Michael Penix Jr., making him uncomfortable in his first NFL start.
Penix (18 of 27, 202 yards, 1 INT) didn't have to do much.
Cornerback Deonte Banks returned from a three-game absence and broke up a pass to Ray-Ray McLeod on his first play.
Banks was called for a 30-yard pass interference penalty for robbing Darnell Mooney and pulled off an old trick.
Kayvon Thibodeau had a burst chasing Penix from behind, gaining 1 yard and forcing a punt. CB Drew Phillips showed strength after the catch, dragging Bijan Robinson down for a four-yard loss.
Boogie Basham stopped Tyler Allgayer for a 1-yard loss.
Brian Burns was tackled by Robinson for a 2-yard loss. Cornerback Cordale Flott was on guard for an interception near the goal line late in the second quarter after Dane Belton separated the ball from tight end Kyle Pitts.
Robinson (22-94, 2 TDs) gained yards but had to work on most of them. The Falcons went 8 of 14 on third down.

Jamie Gillan's first punt sailed 51 yards and was a fair catch at the Atlanta 10-yard line.
He gained 46 yards and put the Falcons back within 14 points. Was the 21-yard punt in the fourth quarter partially deflected?
Otherwise, it was a mistake. Eric Gray had a 37-yard kickoff return late in the second quarter.

coaching
Brian Daboll looked like he was going to blow a gasket again after a delay of game penalty in the second quarter and again after Lock's first pick-six.
Daboll likes to call for passes, but did it too often early in the game.
That's Drew Lock, not Josh Allen.
Shane Bowen returns the top three cornerbacks and hasn't been beaten deep, but the coverage remains too lax at times.
There was minimal pressure on Penix (zero sacks).
