Former President Bill Clinton was hospitalized in Washington, D.C., on Monday after coming down with a fever, according to White House Chief of Staff Angel Ureña.

The 78-year-old Clinton is currently undergoing tests and observation at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, according to the publication. post Ureña published on X (previously known as Twitter).

“He is doing well and is grateful for the care he is receiving.”

Officials close to 42nd President Clinton said the situation was under control and there were no immediate concerns. “The former president will be fine. He said he had a fever and wanted to get tested. He is awake and alert,” one source said. said NBC News.

According to NBC News, Clinton's health issues have been a recurring issue since leaving office in 2001. He spent six days in a California hospital in 2021 after a urinary infection spread to his bloodstream. His medical history includes significant interventions, including quadruple bypass surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2004 and subsequent surgery to insert two stents in his coronary arteries in 2010. Despite these health challenges, Clinton campaigned for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris earlier this year.
