I’m going to watch Beyoncé at halftime

There's nothing stopping Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson from seeing Beyoncé perform for the first time. Even his own football game.

Jackson jokingly told reporters on Monday that he would leave at halftime of Wednesday's Christmas Day game against the Texans at NRG Stadium in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston to watch Queen Bey perform.

The Ravens quarterback, 27, was asked if he was disappointed not to see the performance.

“No, I'm going to go out there and take a look.” Jackson replied with a grin. “I'm going to go out there and take a look, dude. It's my first time seeing Beyoncé perform, but that was our game? That's crazy. I'm going to go out there and take a look. Sorry,” he said. [Baltimore coach John] Herbaugh. Sorry, everyone. ”

When asked if the score of the match would influence her decision to go see the “Single Ladies” singer, 43, Jackson seemed adamant about her desire to see the performance.

“I'm not thinking about Reed,” Jackson said. “I was just about to meet Beyoncé for the first time. I don't mean that, I'm not being rude. I know how people take things.”

It's unclear whether Jackson is serious about his plans to actually leave at halftime to watch the concert, but Harbaugh seems to suggest there may be a problem.

The Ravens coach also added that while he's not a big Beyonce fan, “I think I like her.”

“Does she play country?” [music] now? Do you think there will be some country songs? You have to report to me about that. ” he told reporters.

Beyoncé is performing as part of Netflix's Christmas Day Games, which airs on the streaming platform.

Netflix's pregame coverage begins at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, with the Chiefs and Steelers game starting at 1 p.m., and the Texans and Ravens kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
