It looked like the Steelers would soon come back with an 8-yard rushing touchdown from running back Jalen Warren, but a holding penalty called it back.
On the play after the penalty, Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson intercepted the ball in the end zone, denying the Steelers a chance to cut into the lead.
Despite being stopped in the red zone, Wilson was successful on his next drive.
The Steelers quarterback scrambled for a 1-yard rushing touchdown, capping an 11-play, 72-yard drive and making the score 13-7.

After halftime, both teams traded field goals to make it 16-10, with the Chiefs pulling away.
After the Chiefs' two-point conversion failed, Patrick Mahomes mounted an 11-play, 77-yard drive that ended with Kareem Hunt's 2-yard rushing touchdown to make it 22-10.
On the ensuing drive, Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth fumbled at the Steelers' 34-yard line, giving the Chiefs excellent field position.
Mahomes took advantage of a fumble and found a wide-open Travis Kelce for a touchdown to make it 29-10.
It was Kelce's 77th career touchdown reception, passing Tony Gonzalez as the most receiving touchdown in Chiefs history.

Mahomes completed 29 of 38 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns.
Kelce had eight catches for 84 yards and one touchdown, and rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy had eight catches for 79 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' victory.
The loss for the Steelers is critical to their chances of winning the AFC North title. If the Baltimore Ravens defeat the Houston Texans in the second half of the NFL's Christmas Day doubleheader, the Ravens will have an inside track to defeat the Steelers and win the AFC North title.
Wilson threw for 205 yards with one interception and ran six times for 55 yards and a touchdown. Steelers wide receiver George Pickens missed the past three games with a hamstring injury but returned with three catches for 50 yards.

This will be the third game for both teams in 11 days.
The Chiefs' final game of the regular season isn't important since they already have the No. 1 seed, but it could be important for their opponents. Depending on the results of Week 17, the division rival Denver Broncos could be fighting for a playoff spot.
In Week 18, the Steelers will host the thriving Cincinnati Bengals.
