A Florida man has been arrested for the 35th time after stealing a car and attempting to flee from authorities just before Christmas.

Kevin Campana, 31, was taken into custody Monday after allegedly entering a local auto repair shop in Edgewater, Fla., without shoes and stealing a customer's car, according to Edgewater Police. .

Campana tried to flee from police, but the high-speed chase was captured on body camera footage., It ended in a head-on collision with a police car.

He was charged with robbery, grand theft, driving on a revoked license and intentionally fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, according to police records.

Campana has been arrested 34 times, according to Volusia County inmate records.

Days earlier, Campana had been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery on Dec. 18 and released on bond, records show.

He was first arrested for theft on September 18, 2011, when he was just 18 years old.

The 31-year-old career criminal has been detained for various crimes almost every year since his first arrest.

His various charges over the years include robbery, forgery, grand larceny and possession of substances.

The longest period he spent in prison was more than nine months, from Dec. 31, 2019, to Oct. 7, 2020, for a felony probation violation.

Campana remains in custody in Volusia County.
