Scottie Scheffler Out 3-4 Weeks After Injuring Hand on Broken Glass

The world's top golfer was out of action for nearly a month due to the Christmas dinner accident.

Scottie Scheffler was forced to miss the PGA Tour's season opener in Hawaii after injuring his hand while preparing Christmas dinner.

“Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from broken glass,” Scheffler's manager Blake Smith said. “A small piece of glass remained in my palm and I needed surgery. I was told I should be back to 100% in three to four weeks.”

Due to Scheffler's absence, Scheffler's 2025 debut will be held at the American Express Tournament in La Quinta, Calif., January 16-19.

“His seven PGA Tour wins included his second Masters title, making him the first back-to-back champions of The Players Championship. He shot 62 on the final day to win the Olympic gold medal, He also won the Tour Championship and won the FedEx Cup.
