Will Saquon Barkley face Giants again in finale? Eagles unsure

The Giants just ended a 10-game losing streak and may have a better chance of ending an 11-game losing streak next.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Monday he hasn't decided yet whether he'll start against the Giants.

The Eagles are locked into the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, and while it may seem like sacrilege to unnecessarily risk injury on Sunday, Saquon Barkley is 101 steps away from setting the NFL's single-season rushing record. Except it's a yard.

The Eagles will also need to play on the starting offensive line if Barkley is going to chase his record against the teams that put him in free agency.

Starting QB Jalen Hurts missed most of the past two games due to a concussion.

“We're not there yet,” Sirianni said Monday afternoon. “I always let the players know first, but this particular moment is still being sorted out.”

If the Eagles use backup players, the Giants have a better chance of winning in Philadelphia for the first time since 2013 (11 straight wins including one loss in the playoffs).

Sirianni was the starter in Week 18 of 2021, when the Eagles were locked into the No. 7 seed.

“You take everything into consideration,” Sirianni said. “Try to do what’s best for the team and for the individual players.”

If the Giants, who fell from No. 1 to No. 4 after defeating the Colts, win, their 2025 draft spot will be further hurt.

“Thread the tape like you normally would,” head coach Brian Daboll said. “It's just the beginning with the Eagles. I have a lot of respect for Saquon and he's a great player.”

WR Wan'Dale Robinson looked like a 5-foot-8 bowling ball when he made a 35-yard catch that dragged defenders to the 9-yard line for the decisive touchdown in the win over the Colts.

After dropping a wide-open gimme, Robinson immediately made two catches for 53 yards, including a 35-yarder.

“I was mad at myself,” Robinson said. “I was like, 'The easiest thing you can get all year is to drop it.' As soon as I got the call to do the play again, I knew this was for me and I was like, 'You know what? I thought, “Let's make this play.'' That's what I do every time I get the ball, I never try to go down. ”

Daboll said there was “not a lot” of injury news during the game.

WR Malik Nabors, who was out with a toe injury, had seven catches and 171 yards, but “should be fine.”
