A Canadian man allegedly attacked travelers and Transportation Security Administration agents at a Miami airport on Saturday, a day after he was involved in an in-flight anomaly that caused his plane to make a U-turn, authorities and media reports said.
Cameron Dylan McDougal, 28, is facing assault charges after he allegedly first attacked the victim as he was walking to the gate at Miami International Airport around 7 a.m., police said. According to the arrest report: Local 10 News.
Authorities said the suspect approached the stranger from behind and “began punching” him, but he didn't say anything.
McDougal then allegedly began a scuffle with another man who tried to intervene before the alien walked into the TSA screening area and began picking a fight with the officers, according to the arrest report.
According to the arrest report, he grabbed one officer by the arm and punched him, and then struck another officer in the face with a sock three times as he tried to stop him. Witnesses jumped at McDougall to stop him as more police gathered.
The day before the alleged assault, the Canadian man was involved in a disturbance on the plane, and the plane he was on was returned to Miami, a TSA spokesperson said. he told ABC News on Monday.

McDougall, from Toronto, was charged with three counts of assault, including assault on a police officer and a person over the age of 65.
