Unlawful border crossings hit lowest level of Biden admin in November

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the lowest border crossings for the month of November ahead of President Biden's exit from the White House.

According to statistics released by the agency, 4.5% drop field operations and encounters on the southwest border.

Over the past two months, single adults consistently ranked highest among border crossers, with a total of 64,004 encounters with Border Patrol agents during this period. Individuals in family units followed with 27,488 cases, followed by single minors with 11,646 cases.

The decline in encounters comes months after a July asylum order restricting border crossings.

The executive order suspended the entry of noncitizens at the southern border if the seven-day average of daily border crossers between ports of entry exceeds 2,500. This law went into effect as soon as it was promulgated.

“Frankly, I think I would have liked to have addressed this issue through a bipartisan bill, because that's the only way to fix the broken parts of the system that we have today,” Biden said. He mentioned the measures announced at the White House in response to the failure. push it into parliament.

After a few weeks, intersections were down by 40%.

Since the November election, Republicans have made border security a top priority for President-elect Trump's administration.

After taking office on January 20, the former president promised to carry out the largest deportation operation in the country's history.
