Trans Athlete Slams NCAA for Lack of Full Scholarships to Compete Against Women

A transgender NCAA track and field athlete is slamming college sports organizations for not offering more scholarships to men who identify as female to play women's sports in college.

Rochester Institute of Technology's Sadie Schreiner recently criticized the lack of sports opportunities for transgender athletes, according to reports. fox news.

“Transferring schools usually comes with a lot of hurdles, but being transgender made the hurdles even higher, with 50% of the country banning my participation. I couldn't attend any college.'' I rode it as hard as I could,'' Shriner exclaimed.

Schreiner also argued that state rules won't prevent him from attending those schools if he so chooses.

“It also became clear that in those states, the university authorities usually would not allow me to join the team, no matter how adamant the coach was to let me join the team.”

Schreiner has already caused controversy by taking away a spot from a woman at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May.

The athlete also competed in the Liberty League Championships, winning both the women's 200m and 400m and breaking the 400m record, Fox News reported.

“Right now, transgender people are being actively attacked and our rights are being stripped away. Those in power are either supporting this or letting it go.” said Schreiner. “But we're not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere, and you'll definitely be back this January and see me competing on the track again.”

Schreiner did not explain what he meant by “attacked,” but many trans activists argue that transgender people face more violence and murder. However, in reality data This claim is shown to be untrue.

Twenty-six states have passed laws restricting gender-affirming care, and many of these laws include banning transgender athletes from federally sponsored schools.

The NCAA has already been sued by several women, as well as the Texas attorney general, over its policy allowing transgender athletes to compete as women.

The entire issue will eventually end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.
