An early New Year's attack in New Orleans claimed the life of former Princeton football player Tiger Beck. He was only 28 years old.
Beck was a wide receiver at All-Ivy League Princeton and is the older brother of Jack Beck, a standout wide receiver at TCU last year. CBS Sports Reported.
Unfortunately, Mr. Beck was celebrating on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning when a man, whom investigators identified as Shamsud Din Jabar, a 42-year-old convert to Islam, drove a truck into the street. It plowed into a crowd of people enjoying a party, killing more than a dozen people and injuring more than 30 others. more.
Officials reported that a black ISIS flag was attached to the back gate of Din Jabbar's truck and noted that the FBI was investigating the incident as a terrorist attack.
Beck, a Louisiana native who played high school football at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was reportedly placed on life support until he could contact his family. KLFY-TV reported
His younger brother Jack posted a message on social media, writing: “Love you always brother!” You inspired me every day. Now you can be with me in every moment. I got the family T, don't worry. This is for us. ”
Tiger Beck played at Princeton from 2016 to 2018, and after graduating from college, he became a stockbroker at a company in New York.
