Hundreds March for ‘Intifada’ in NYC Hours After Attacks in New Orleans, Las Vegas

Just hours after the terrorist attack in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the explosion in Las Vegas, Nevada, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters marched in New York City on New Year's Day calling for an “intifada” and marched on Manhattan's 6th Street. The city was sealed off.

era of israel reported:

Protesters chanted: “Resistance is glorious. We will surely win,” “We salute all the martyrs,” and “Gaza, you are proud of us.” They held placards that read “Zionism is cancer,'' “No war with Iran,'' and “End all US aid to Israel.''

“There is only one solution: an intifada revolution,” they shouted, using a refrain often used at anti-Israel rallies in the United States. “Intifada”, which means “uprising” in Arabic, is reminiscent of the Second Intifada, a series of terrorist attacks involving suicide bombers in Israel in the early 2000s.

A small number of pro-Israel counter-demonstrators showed up and heckled the anti-Israel activists, waving Israeli and American flags at the sidelines of the demonstration. A Jewish retiree led a chant to “find a job” to the demonstrators.

The New Orleans attack occurred in the early morning hours when Shamsud Din Jabar, an alleged ISIS loyalist, drove his car into the Crown on Bourbon Street, killing more than a dozen people.

In Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck loaded with explosives exploded outside the entrance to the Trump Hotel, killing at least one person and injuring several more. Police said the suspect in the latter attack was killed in the explosion.
