A Perth woman has unveiled an amazing weight loss transformation that changed her life forever.
Back in August 2023, Holly Gaillard had reached her highest weight of 231 pounds, but her weight was making it difficult for her to wear size 18-20 clothes.
She was 25 years old and at the lowest point in her life.
After her family experienced an unimaginable tragedy, she began to find solace in food and alcohol, leading to a devastating addiction.
She filled herself with unhealthy, high-calorie food, felt like her life was “drinking,” and did little exercise.
But in just eight months, she turned her life around, dropping an incredible 77 pounds and dropping four dress sizes. And now, at 154 pounds, he feels healthier than ever with his new physique.
“I was quite chubby as a child and never got to a super healthy weight,” she told news.com.au.
“I was in a bad relationship from the age of 15 to 22, which had a huge impact on my mental health and, in turn, my weight gain.
“I stopped putting myself first because I didn't feel good enough. I started loving booze more than life.
“I was quite addicted and drank every day. I also loved foods like pasta, ice cream and fast food.
“None of it would fill me up, so I was eating a lot of food. It was a bad cycle.”
In June 2023, Holly's family suffered a terrible tragedy when her sister lost one of her one-month-old twin boys.
She said such a loss was unbearable for her and destroyed her family in ways she never imagined.
After two months, Holly reached her maximum weight and decided enough was enough. It's time to come out of the darkness.
Looking at her body in the mirror, she knew it was time for a change.
“When you're overweight, everything becomes so difficult,” she said.
“I was always the biggest girl in my friend group and always felt ignored.
“When I was growing up, I couldn't go on certain waterslides because of my size, and I had to weigh in in front of the crowd at Adventure World before I could ride the rides. .
“I could have died of embarrassment.
“One of the worst times was when a man yelled at me at a club and said, 'You look like a fat whale.'
“That had to be one of the scariest things anyone ever said to me. It was mortifying.”
Holly, whose mental health was at its worst, started making small changes to her lifestyle and gradually began to feel better about herself as the days went by.
To stay on track and stay motivated, she did the following: Bridget's Healthy Kitchen (BHK) program provides customers with nutritionally balanced recipes to help them lose weight.
“I've struggled mentally for most of my life, but I never knew why or how to fix it,” she explained.
“But since eating Bridget's Healthy Kitchen, I can't believe how completely my mental state has changed.
“Even in my childhood, I described myself as chubby and unable to lose weight.
“In fact, I've never been this healthy in my entire life.”
Holly says she doesn't exercise regularly, but her job at Boost Juice allows her to stay active throughout the week.
Now, after dropping an impressive 77 pounds, she feels better than ever and is looking forward to a healthier, brighter future.
“Honestly, it's an incredible feeling. I always have so much energy and I feel so much more confident,” she said with a twinkle in her eye.
“I am very happy and I would recommend anyone who wants to change their life to start.
“It doesn't matter if you start with a big step or a small step. Just start. That's the most important step.
“Health is very important and should be a priority for all of us.”
