If you enter the lounge with a Priority Pass, guests will only have access to the lounge for two hours (compared to three hours if you enter with a direct access credit card or business class ticket). You will also have to pay a fee. Access the shower. I witnessed this firsthand during a trip last month when I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) with my Priority Pass membership. I was told I could only stay for two hours and that I wouldn't be able to shower during my stay.
Additionally, not all Plaza Premium Lounges are currently part of Priority Pass, including some Plaza Premium Lounges in Brazil, Indonesia, and other countries.
It is important to note that there are cards such as: American Express Platinum Card® and American Express Business Platinum Card® Although access to the free Plaza Premium Lounge is still included, both charge a much higher annual fee than Venture X or Venture X Business.
conclusion
Despite the loss of in-person access, cardholders can still access most Plaza Premium lounges using their card's Priority Pass membership, albeit with a two-hour visit limit and a shower fee. While you don't want benefits removed from your card, it shouldn't have a big impact on travelers unless you're traveling to certain countries where the Plaza Premium Lounge isn't included in Priority Pass.
