Police said the car was parked for about 20 seconds before it exploded.
Authorities are continuing to investigate whether the incident was an act of terrorism. The incident came hours after another U.S. military veteran drove a truck displaying an Islamic State flag out of control on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 15 people.

Authorities are working to determine the motive.
