The embarrassing moment followed after she called on the Senate to sing the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

“Join me in pledging allegiance to our flag,” she began before turning to the flag.

“I pledge allegiance to the United States,” Harris said, then forgot the words “to the flag” and stepped back.

Social media users expressed a mixture of laughter and relief on social media that Harris, who can't even recite the Pledge of Allegiance correctly, was not elected president.
