Bill Maher revealed how he feels about the “lunatics” within the Democratic Party in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.
When asked why he now ridicules the left more than before, he replied: “That's right, because you give me more material. I'm a comedian, and I'm going to go where the money is.” Maher further elaborated on his comedy, saying, “Humor is about getting to the truth. “I think it's probably one of the best tools, especially in politics,” he said, adding, “When someone laughs, it's something that happens unconsciously. That's how you engage the audience. ” he said. Admit that they agree with you, even if they don't really want to. ”
The interviewer replied, “But people who wake up don't always laugh.'' Maher agreed, saying, “This is one of the problems I have with the left. They can't stand having to endure for a moment hearing something they don't already agree with. Not that the right doesn't do it, but the left is making it worse.”

Marr also touched on how his liberal friends can't stand the fact that he invites conservative guests like Ann Coulter onto his show. “'I had some liberal friends who couldn't stand it. Just think about what this is,' Bill paused dramatically, and then said, 'It hates me, and I don't hate it. “It's about the people,'' I repeat, “Those who hate me'' don't hate me.''
After being asked, “Why can't people on the left treat people with whom they disagree favorably?'' Maher replied, “It's in their psychological profile. just wanted to convey virtue and make their friends, and probably everyone on social media, think they were good people. We also know who is good. ”
“A lot of Republicans are saying, 'Maybe we could get Bill Maher,'” Maher said, amid much speculation about whether he is considering switching parties. He denies that idea. No, you can't do that. Bill Maher is honest about the left: I'm not going to join your team of people who don't believe in democracy. ”
Maher himself has no intention of changing political parties, but says, “I'm not particularly obsessed with Trump or unaware of his many flaws, but I just think the lunacy of the left is somehow worse.'' He pointed out that there are voters who say, “I just feel it.” I don't agree with their opinions, but I understand that I don't hate them for voting for him. ”

Maher also had some choice words for the younger generation, saying that one of his problems with them is that “they don't think, they don't have a point of view. Of course they're elites. If you go to college, I mean… – Factory guys, they're indoctrinated with the idea that they're living in the worst country in the world during the worst time in history, when in reality they… For all its faults, it is probably the best and certainly the best time in history.”
Maher believes that what this country needs is metaphorical “colonies,” but contrary to what some people on the political fringe believe, he “loves America.” “America doesn't need a revolution,'' he added.
He believes Republicans will overwhelm Democrats in elections unless Democrats can “break away from the belief that they are a misguided vehicle for what people really want,” adding, “They won't vote. When we lose, we often say, “We failed,'' he added. Don't get our message across. ” Well, they didn’t like it.
