Not all of the action between the Cowboys and Commanders on Sunday was confined to the field.
A member of Dallas' famous cheerleading team was nailed in the back of the head by a ball that fell off Cowboys placekicker Brandon Aubrey's foot while performing on the sideline.
The awkward moment occurred in the first half at AT&T Stadium, when Aubrey's kick went wide and a cameraman tried to deflect the ball, which ended up making contact with a cheerleader.
Performers, Who is in doubt on social media? Newcomer Michelle Sienowski fell to the ground after the collision, then got back up.
As seen on the Fox broadcast, fellow cheerleaders checked on their teammates and command punter Tres Way.
The cheerleader in question was then shown sitting and smiling, having regained her composure after the unexpected incident.
Siemiensowski, a California native, announced that she will join the Cowboys cheerleading squad in July 2024.
“This has been my dream for as long as I can remember.” she gushed on Instagram at the time. “…This has been the most life-changing experience, but it's just the beginning. I'm so grateful that I was able to achieve my dream and get my own boots.”
Sunday marks the end of a disappointing season for the Cowboys, who entered Week 18 with a 7-9 record.
Dallas has a big offseason decision to make regarding head coach Mike McCarthy, who is on an expiring contract.
McCarthy has coached the Cowboys since 2020 and led the team to the playoffs the past three seasons.
