Enraged driver nearly crashes into teen cyclists who took over LA road

An irate motorist in Los Angeles nearly hit a large group of teenage cyclists who were occupying a busy roadway — before vengeful bikers attacked the driver. That's what this wild video shows.

The gruesome footage shows the driver crossing a median and running a red light, coming dangerously close to crashing.

“Hey, move!” the biker filming yelled at his friends, who had completely blocked three lanes of traffic, as a car sped up from behind.

“Watch out! Watch out!” he warns repeatedly.

After running a red light, the Mercedes eventually swerved around the group and took off onto the street, according to the video.

The cyclists, many of whom appeared to be underage, are believed to have chased after the cyclists. Another video showed the biker assaulting him as the driver pushed him down and cornered him in the parking lot.

Several bikers were seen punching and kicking the man as he ran away. More teens jump on top of his car and kick out the windows, according to the video.

Residents of Mid-Wilshire District told CBS Los Angeles They say they saw a biker gang patrolling the area on Saturday.

Rosalina Hernandez, a local business owner, said she initially supported the bike group's “wheelie run,” but later saw the video on social media and was disappointed.

“It gives me chills because it’s unacceptable,” she said. “Especially as a parent. You don't have the frustration that you get from having to go to that extreme.”

It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the incident.

The newspaper contacted the Los Angeles Police Department for details on the incident.
