Person spotted clinging to the side of a car during a road rage altercation in San Francisco

A man in San Francisco was taken into custody following a wild road rage episode where he clung to the door of a moving SUV.

This dramatic scene unfolded on California Street in the Richmond District. Alfredo Salvio Orozco, 49, was seen on video throwing items at passing vehicles and hurling insults at the SUV’s driver.

Footage reviewed shows Orozco darting around a black Toyota RAV4, banging on its hood, and hanging out of the window, his legs dangling as the driver tried to escape.

At one point, Orozco’s sedan is visible in the middle of the street with the driver’s door wide open. Bystanders, clearly shocked, could be heard reacting—one person, exclaiming, “What the hell?” while another urged, “Call 911, call 911.”

According to the investigation by local police, Orozco attempted to damage the SUV “without provocation” and made threats against its driver.

He now faces multiple charges, including criminal damage to property, criminal threats, and throwing an object at a vehicle intending to cause serious bodily injury.

On June 25, the San Francisco Criminal Court found there was enough probable cause to move forward with the case. Orozco was released on his own recognizance without bail, as per court documents.
