‘Most Joe Biden thing ever’

President Biden made another embarrassing gaffe while singing “Happy Birthday” to guests at the White House, and the gaffe went viral on social media.

During an event commemorating the signing of the Social Security Fairness Act on Sunday, Biden tried to sing “Happy Birthday” to 17-year-old Eliseo Jimenez.

Jimenez gained national recognition after walking from Lubbock, Texas, to Washington, D.C., to spread awareness about the limits of Social Security.

“Eliseo is about to receive Social Security benefits,” Biden joked before announcing that Jimenez's birthday was the next day.

Less than a minute later, while leading the audience in singing “Happy Birthday,” Biden appeared to have either completely forgotten his own name or forgotten the correct way to say it, and as the audience sang, “…Dear Eliseo,” he murmured instead. The tweet was so noticeable that Jimenez laughed in response, as if it were a joke.

Biden's false statement is the latest of many gaffes that have left Americans, especially his critics, skeptical about Biden's mental acuity and his defenders alarmed. It was something.

Footage of this latest incident went viral as many of Biden's critics joked at his expense and celebrated the coming end of his presidency.

“Biden brought a man on stage to sing Happy Birthday…The problem is he didn't know or forgot his name…Tweeted some nonsense instead,” said the comedian and pod. said anchor Tim Young. “There are only 15 days left…”

Kyle Lamb, an economic analyst and former DeSantis staffer, said Biden's performance was “like he was sitting in the car, the chorus was over, the second verse started, and he was confident that he knew the lyrics.'' “It's like when you're trying to get a point across,” he joked.

Spectator contributing editor Stephen L. Miller made a similar comparison, suggesting that Biden's rendition was like “me every time a restaurant starts singing to some stupid kid.”

“This is the most Joe Biden thing ever,” joked John Miltimore, senior editor at the American Economic Institute.

Drew Holden, editor-in-chief of American Compass, argued that “it is frightening to imagine the effects of Biden's cognitive decline, which will be reported for the first time since he limped from the public stage.”

The most intelligent man in the world is not functioning. Those who wish us ill are not unaware. ”

In another post, he added: “I continue to be horrified that the world's biggest media report is not the mental deterioration of the President of the United States that is unfolding before the eyes of the world.”

“He definitely didn't remember his own name and was just mumbling,” podcast host Sean Farash said, later adding that Biden's defenders “used to call this 'cheap'.・He called it a “fake” video.”

This isn't the first time Biden has appeared to forget someone's name while singing “Happy Birthday.”

The president mispronounced Andrea Waters King's name when he sang her birthday song at the National Action Network's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Breakfast in January 2023. It seems so.

“Well, my wife has a rule in my family: When it's someone's birthday, sing Happy Birthday,” he told the wife of the civil rights leader's eldest son, Martin Luther King III. He said that before starting to sing.

Biden appeared to forget Dr. King's name in the final verse, but quickly moved on. He began the song to cheers from the audience, but when he got to her name, he seemed to back off, saying, “Happy birthday, dear Valen.”

“Well, turning 30 is hell, but you've got to be patient,” he joked.
