6 Tyreek Hill trade partners who make sense for star wide receiver

There's also the possibility of another Tyreek Hill trade, just in case the NFL-wide coaching changes weren't enough on Black Monday. The Dolphins wide receiver made no secret of his desire to leave Miami on Sunday, but now he appears to be saying goodbye to Miami on social media.

This would be a devastating change for Miami's offense, and they obviously want to mend fences and keep him in the building. The Dolphins invested a lot of money to keep the All-Pro wide receiver, but at this point the return on investment won't come close to his value as a player.

We've seen this kind of scenario play out. After all, players (especially stars) tend to get their way. It pressured the Raiders to trade Davante Adams, plucked Stefon Diggs from Buffalo, and led to Amari Cooper going to the Bills. There's a very good chance we'll see Tyreek Hill in a new uniform before the 2025 season starts, but where?

If Tyreek Hill hits the market, there will be no shortage of teams lining up to sign him. Teams wishing to secure his services should even a little His annual salary could be $12 million, up to $25.8 million, but much of that will depend on how much (if anything) the Dolphins are willing to pay him.

What makes the potential trade for Hill even more appealing is that his motivation is very difficult to gauge. When he moved from Kansas City to Miami, it was clear that winning was secondary to money, but now he has become more and more concerned with his personal record than the need to win titles. When many veteran receivers turn 30, their biggest concern becomes winning a ring, but having already earned one, I hope Tyreke will increase his personal glory as part of a turnaround. He might be willing to land on a worse team if it means something.

So let's dive into the teams that have the cap room (and desire) to acquire a player like Tyreek Hill.

chicago bears

There's no question the Bears have major issues with their offensive line that need fixing, but having a player like Tyreek Hill makes things a lot easier for second-year Caleb Williams.

Williams' deep ball accuracy was spotty during his rookie season, but he played relatively smart, error-free football for most of the year. Hill quickly builds confidence on short routes, moving the chains and providing a safety net that allows him to open up situations. Pair him with Roma Odunze and DJ Moore and you'll probably have the NFL's scariest group of receivers to begin with.

That doesn't take away the amount of pressure Williams is under, but being able to get the ball to Tyreke quickly would take a lot of pressure off the need to quickly overhaul the office staff.

commander of washington

At this point, if you're a commander, it's all about adding more fuel to the fire. Receiving depth fell off a cliff after Terry McLaurin, and Washington's 12-5 record this year owed much to the use of players on borrowed time like Zach Ertz.

Hill would be a perfect fit for Jaden Daniels, who has a natural talent for placing the ball and attacking runners in stride. The addition of Hill adds a new dimension to the offense and could move this team away from an already good team and potentially become the secondary dominant force in the NFC East.

Factoring in Kliff Kingsbury (assuming he doesn't take a job elsewhere), this move would be a huge blow to the Commanders, who boast one of the best offenses in the NFC. .

carolina panthers

If you've seen Bryce Young in the past 10 games, you'll understand why this makes a lot of sense. The Panthers' offensive line is established, the running game is solid, and Young is emerging as a star, but they just don't have the receivers ready to take him to the next level.

The offense has played its best with Adam Thielen, but he's not a long-term option, especially as the No. 1 receiver. The Panthers desperately need someone like Hill to stretch the field and provide more explosive play. Combine his receiving talent with Bryce Young's predictive ability and there could be something special there.

We know one of Hills' former teammates is already trying to plant this seed.

tennessee titans

Calvin Ridley is very good, but this team needs a lot of help on offense. Brian Callahan will likely be under pressure to perform in his second year with a new quarterback. For many of the same reasons as Chicago and Carolina, Hill's points make sense. There aren't many receivers in the NFL who can make a quarterback better just by being on the field, but Hill is one of them.

With construction on the horizon for a new stadium and a huge amount of public funding coming in, the pressure is on for this organization to start winning. They've made big, flashy trades in the past to make this happen, but Hill would be the poster child for a move that could actually make this happen.

kansas city chiefs

never say never. It would be impossible to make this list without including Hill's former team. A lot of work needs to be done on the salary front for the Chiefs to be able to absorb Tyreek's huge salary, but they will find a way.

The Chiefs have become a much different team since Hill's last tenure. Despite this, the team still needs Tyreek Hill on offense. Patrick Mahomes has done a great job with a group of below-average talent since that trade went away, and this should reunite the band for another big success.

A bonus element is that Hill will be taught by rookie Xavier Worthy. The two players fit a similar mold.

pittsburgh steelers

The one-two punch of George Pickens and Calvin Austin III isn't enough for a playoff team like Pittsburgh. The organization desperately needs a home run threat at receiver, but it's unclear where they'll find it outside of a trade for an established player.

One potential problem is Mike Tomlin. Really That could be a deal breaker because it doesn't tolerate diva receivers, but it would be something for Russell Wilson, who has diminished arm strength. Wilson is still a smart QB who makes good decisions, but he needs a better YAC threat than Austin III.

Pittsburgh has the cap space to make a deal happen, which could be the biggest factor in this.
