A Massachusetts mother of two was seriously injured when a man dragged her out of her car and slammed her head-first during a road rage incident that resulted in a minor fender bend.
Hilea Soares, 31, was driving in Attleboro, Massachusetts, around 9 a.m. Friday when she rear-ended a driver in front of her who suddenly stopped, according to reports. WHDH-TV News.
“He kept hitting the brakes and when we got to the intersection, he hit the light and was in front of me,” Soares told the magazine. “The moment we passed, we couldn’t even cross, and he slammed on the brakes and I hit him.”

Attleboro police said Gladiol Kwesia, 26, of Rhode Island, then removed Soares from the car.
When Soares tried to take pictures of the damage to her car, the suspect took her cellphone and took her away, police said.
“I tried to defend myself and he picked me up and that's when the woman got the video of me being thrown to the ground,” she told WHDH. “I remember thinking, 'I'm in the air right now. I'm in the air.'”

According to WHDH, Soares was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with a broken knee, broken leg, damaged eye socket and severe head injuries.
Kwesia was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury, criminal damage to property and driving without a license, according to the Attleboro Police Department. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
Attleboro Police Sergeant Kevin Sellers told WHDH the incident was “inappropriate and unacceptable conduct stemming from what was essentially a minor motor vehicle accident.”

Soares said he was just happy to have survived the attack.

“He was just an asshole on the street,” she said. ABC TV News interview. “I don't know if he was having a bad day, I don't know what it was, but if he's that type of person, he doesn't belong in the same society as the rest of us. I don’t think so.”
A GoFundMe effort to help Soares with medical expenses had raised about $29,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.
