Los Angeles-area residents evacuated by a wildfire in the mountains above the Pacific Palisades were seen abandoning their cars on the freeway.
ABC7 News reported A “panicked driver” abandoned his car along Sunset Boulevard while trying to flee the Palisades fire zone.
Abandoned vehicles were seen along Sunset Boulevard after drivers decided to abandon their vehicles “rather than become stranded” as wildfire flames continued to spread, the newspaper said.

Breitbart News senior editor Joel Pollack previously reported that the fire “started in brush near the Paseo Miramar area above Palisades Drive and quickly spread.” Pollack added that traffic on Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive “quickly backed up” as both residents and emergency officials “struggled for space.”
Traffic quickly backed up along Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive as residents and emergency vehicles jockeyed for space. However, residents remained calm, with many calling out to each other from their cars and offering help if needed.
