James Woods Breaks Down in Tears on CNN After Losing Home in L.A.

On CNN's “News Central” on Wednesday, actor James Woods, who lost his Pacific Palisades home in the Southern California wildfires, said his 8-year-old niece got her piggy bank back to help rebuild it. I cried about it.

“It was paradise,” Woods said, “and our neighbors, you know, knew everything about them.”

Host Pamala Brown said, “You know what, everything is like that, and it's a reminder that anything can be taken away in an instant.”

“But Sarah was playing with her 8-year-old niece last night and it came out. I'm sorry, but one day she's swimming in the pool and the next day it's all gone. But she… came with a small yeti piggy bank to help us rebuild the house.”

Brown said: “Oh my God, James Woods, we all hope you can rebuild your home. Maybe start with that little yeti piggy bank. We just hope you and your wife are okay. I’m so happy.”

“I thought I was stronger,” Woods said.

Brown said, “Yes. No, I mean, this is real, this is raw. Strength is not measured by whether you keep crying. Strength is what you are doing right now. , to help your neighbors and shine a light on the great and amazing work of all firefighters and first responders. You have so much power and so many others are going through what you are. Thank you for reflecting that.”
