Drone footage taken on Wednesday shows the sky above a completely abandoned neighborhood full of collapsed houses and structures covered in charred fire and smoky dust, killing at least five people. More than 130,000 people are under evacuation orders.

Entire blocks are shown scorched by the fire that broke out in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Tuesday morning and has already damaged thousands of buildings.

As the video panned through the destroyed area where small fires remained, bare frames of homes and yards littered with charred rubble could be seen.

Drone footage also showed dark gray smoke filling the orange-tinged air.

Officials warned that five fires could be fueled by worsening winds. Three of them were not fully contained. As of Thursday, about 30,000 acres had already been burned in Los Angeles County.

Terrifying Santa Ana wind gusts of over 100 miles per hour caused several fires to grow from non-existent to out-of-control, causing massive destruction across the region. At least five people were killed and thousands of structures were destroyed.
