“Tonight's game will be rescheduled to focus on what's most important today. We are with you, LA.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, the air quality index was above 280, with anything above 150 considered unhealthy.

The Los Angeles Chargers did not play an NFL playoff game at SoFi Stadium, but they limited the amount of time their players spent outdoors during Wednesday's practice due to air quality. They begin Wild Card Weekend against the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.

The Chargers released a statement Wednesday night pledging $200,000 in targeted funds to local wildfire relief efforts.

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Malone announced Thursday that the Eaton Fire, which has claimed at least five lives, has “significantly stopped” from spreading.
