“Wheel of Fortune” hosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White helped make one contestant's night a little more special.
On Thursday night, during the game show's 50th anniversary celebration, Seacrest announced that he helped Robin propose to former “Wheel of Fortune” contestant Lea Mathews in October 2023. did.
“We're celebrating a milestone with our 50th anniversary, and a milestone actually happened earlier in the week on this set,” Seacrest announced in a clip uploaded to YouTube.
“Former contestant Leah's boyfriend Robin asked us to help her ask the big question,” Vanna added.

She explained that with the help of announcer Jim Thornton, they were able to create “a little ploy to make Rare think she was back to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Wheel.”

“But look what happened,” White added, then turned to Robin and Leah's proposal.
In this clip, Rhea solves the problem “Will You Marry Me?” puzzle.
“Well done,” Thornton told Rhea.
Robin got on stage, got down on one knee, and asked, “Leah Susan Matthew, will you marry me?” The former contestant seemed shocked and nodded in agreement.
“Lea Susan Matthew, will you marry me?”
The video then cut to White and Seacrest.
“I think she was really surprised,” Ryan said.

“Yes, it was a very heartwarming story,” White said.
“It's so cool. I'm so happy to be able to do that on this show,” Seacrest added.
Ms. White joked, “You never know what's going to happen around here.”

'Wheel of Fortune' shared the couple's special moments on their Instagram account.
“This sweet wheel proposal made me scream, cry, and lose my mind!” she captioned the post.
Rhea commented on the post saying, “Aww, thank you, thank you, thank you for making this a reality!!!!! It's beyond my imagination!!”
