The Los Angeles wildfires, which have already burned 40,000 acres of the city, killed at least 24 people and destroyed entire communities, remain largely uncontained. With winds picking up again and water supplies in the city limited, there is no end in sight.
meanwhile glenn beck He is not the kind of person to politicize tragedy, he values the truth too much to ignore it. Terrible failure on the part of California authorities – From the city's fire chief obsessed with DEI to refusing to sign Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom's water bill.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (Democrat) is no exception. If anything, her list of failures is the longest. Warned of the coming storm, Ms. Bass chose to continue her trip to Africa to celebrate the inauguration of Ghana's president, leaving the city burnt in her absence, as well as the city of Los Angeles. It cut the fire department's budget by millions of dollars.
“She donated her firefighting funds to a homeless NGO.” [non-government organizations] These are people who are fighting for the rights of illegal immigrants,” Glenn said, and of course, “They're packaging it in the same way she donated money to fight homelessness.” he added.
But the truth is that L.A. has already “spent billions of dollars into solving this problem,” and the results are always “tent cities, open-air drug markets, streets lined with trash and human waste. [and] It’s chaos,” he added.
LA residents, Californians, and even Hollywood elites are calling out Mayor Bass for these failures, but should they really be surprised? A peek into her dark and radical history reveals that no one should be the least bit surprised.
“[Bass’] “History is tied to radicalism, Marxism, and dangerous ideologies that entered the mainstream from the fringes,” Glenn says.
In the 1970s, the bus toured Cuba. many times. “She was an active participant in something called the Venceremos Brigades, a Marxist training program with direct ties to Fidel Castro's regime,” he explains. “You joined because you were identified as a Marxist-Leninist.”
According to one Los Angeles Police Department investigator, members of the Venceremos Brigade are “trained in guerrilla warfare, sabotage, and bomb-making.” …They are not idealists. They are rebels in training. ”
Bass “wasn't just a participant,” Glenn said. “She praised her leader, Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, who imprisoned his opponents.” [and] It left behind a legacy of poverty and fear. ”
On November 7, 1983, a domestic terrorist group called the May 19 Communist Organization bombed the U.S. Capitol. The group “has direct ties to Cuba; [Venceremos] Bass was the “leader'' in the “Brigade.''
“I'm not saying Karen Bass planted the bomb, but let's be clear that she was part of the very same extremist network,” Glenn said. “She called Fidel Castro charismatic. She admired a dictator who had brutalized his people. She aligned herself with a movement that believed in revolutionary violence, including the bombing of the Capitol.”
Because Bass “has not reformed,” “the ideology that fueled that bombing is still alive and well, sitting in the Los Angeles mayor's office,” Glenn added, adding that her radicalization was not just a one-time period in her youth. I explained.
In 2016, she [Castro’s] “The death is a great loss for the Cuban people,” he said, adding that even though she was “considered a front-runner for vice presidential nomination under the Joe Biden administration,” her record was “unprecedented even for Democrats.” It was too “toxic” and “troublesome”.
“If the roots of Marxism are too bad and too heavy for the Democratic Party, the progressives in Washington today, that says something,” Glenn says.
Today, “Karen Bass is just using a new word. She's fighting for justice and equity. She's fighting for the people, but what has her leadership actually brought about?” Could it be that a homeless camp… an out-of-control fire broke out? [a] The fire department is stretched to its limits, millions of people are herded into political projects, and all the while the city is falling into more and more chaos. ”
