The Three Mile Island power plant was the site of the worst commercial nuclear accident in U.S. history. Although there were zero deaths, the media has since used the event as a symbol of why you can't invest in nuclear energy.
That is until now.
Constellation Energy, which claims to be America's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, just announced it has signed the largest power purchase deal in history with Bill Gates' Microsoft. Based on this agreement, Microsoft began working on Three Mile Island.

Gates also invested $1 billion in a nuclear power plant that broke ground in Kemmerer, Wyoming, last June.
“We have two power plants now, both nuclear,” Glenn says, shocked. “There's nothing to worry about here. Bill Gates is a responsible man, and so is nuclear power. It's clean, it's good for the environment, and it's totally acceptable.”
But what Glenn really wants to know is why this is necessary.
“Why do they need this power? Not because it's hard to buy electricity. Not because it's hard to heat their homes. Not because they want to get rid of natural gas, but because they want to get rid of their stoves and Because we want everything else to run on electricity. It's not because we're going to switch to battery cars, and it's not because they want it,” Glenn says.
“Bill Gates wants power because he wants to become king of the world with AI. [and] He needs a nuclear power plant, so he ends up building one. It's like we're not even allowed to talk about it,” he continued, adding: No, no, no. We need nuclear power plants for our new god, AI. ”
